Fossil Park Digging Pit

Fossil Park Digging Pit Closed for the Season

That’s a wrap on another incredible digging season at Fossil Park! 🦴

A huge thank you to every fossil hunter, family, school group, and curious explorer who came out to dig with us this year. You helped make this one of our best seasons yet, and we loved seeing your discoveries, from tiny brachiopods to those prized trilobite finds!

The Digging Pit is now closed for the winter, but the fun isn’t over for good. We’ll reopen in April, and we can’t wait to see you back in the quarry.

Good news: Fossil Park itself remains open! Stop by to enjoy the grounds and trails during regular park hours, which you can find on our website.
