Welcome to Outdoor Sylvania Community Park's Project Management portal. Here, you can find information on current and archived projects (maintenance and capital improvement), grant applications, and previous awards.

Questions about any Park System's projects should be directed to Dan Marsalek, the Park's Project Manager, at

  • Per the park’s purchasing policy, projects over $2,500.00 require at least (3) verbal / phone quotations.
  • Projects over $5,000.00 require at least (3) written quotations per the park’s purchasing policy.
  • Projects over $50,000.00 require using the formal public sealed bid process and are subject to approval by The Park’s Board of Commissioners at a monthly board meeting.

Just to let you know, due to the installation of the new website, archived projects before Oct. 2023 are not available online. Please get in touch with the park for information related to any of these pre-Oct. 2023 archived projects.

Current Applications:

  • 2023 Transportation Alternatives (TA) Grant Program – seeking $1.7 million for the University/Parks Trail Extension – Centennial to Sylvan Prairie project. (Est. 2027 or 2028)
  • 2023 Carbon Mitigation/Air Quality (CMAQ) Grant – seeking $1.7 million for the University/Parks Trail Extension – Centennial to Sylvan Prairie project. (Est. 2027 or 2028)
